Chad Farran is a singer/songwriter based out of San Diego, CA who blends contemporary American music with Brazilian rythms. Over the past 3 years he has been involved in the production of music for the popular surf/travel show On "Surfari" that airs on FOX network’s Fuel TV, and has managed to capture the essence of foreign countries that the show travels to by studying the traditions and instruments from each place, incorporating them into musical pieces, and creating a contemporary and refreshing soundtrack.

Todays album is Guerilla Tactics by The Alarm.
The Alarm began in 1978, in the North-Wales town of Rhyl, under the name of 'Seventeen'. Its 4 members were Mike Peters, Dave Sharp, Eddie Macdonald and Nigel Twist. They knocked around the music scene for a while with little success and reformed as 'Alarm Alarm' (taken from one of Seventeen's songs) in 1981. Then John Peel compared them to 'Duran Duran' and 'Talk Talk' and they quickly changed their name to 'The Alarm'.

Thanks largely to the LastFM API most artists now have a bio and we've added upcoming events so you can find out where and when artists are performing.
To tie into all this we've updated the websites Now Playing tool as of today so that when you hover over an album cover you'll get a litle bit more information about the artist.
